The consistency cure – 02/05/25

The number one struggle I hear from people who want to lose weight but feel stuck is…

Consistency.

I recently asked a question about what holds people back, and the overwhelming majority—around 90%—said consistency or something similar.

This highlights a fundamental flaw in how we approach transformation:

We pick a diet and vow to “stay consistent.” We might see some progress at first, but eventually, we fall off—leading us back to square one.

Whether it’s Weight Watchers, keto, optavia, or carnivore, the problem is always the same: if you view your method as something you’re “on” or “off,” you’ll never feel fully “on.”

Real consistency isn’t about hopping from one diet to another. It’s about behavior change.

That may sound less exciting—no flashy shortcuts or instant transformations. But it’s how lasting progress really happens:

✅ Gradually improving food quality and daily habits.

✅ Gradually increasing movement.

✅ Gradually prioritizing better sleep and stress coping skills.

In other words, it’s not about constantly counting every calorie, and it’s certainly not about being “on” or “off.”

Instead, it’s about adopting an identity: You become the kind of person who makes choices aligned with your goals, even when life gets busy—like travel, family dinners, or social events. Over time, these choices become second nature.

If consistency is the main issue, the solution isn’t to “try harder” or jump into a stricter diet. It’s to figure out who you want to be, identify the gap between your current behaviors and your desired behaviors, and then gradually bridge that gap.

That’s exactly what we help our clients do. We:

✅ Focus on what truly drives change instead of worrying about irrelevant details.

✅ Guide them to build habits and routines that are sustainable for life.

✅ Address any mental blocks that keep them from staying consistent.

And yes, it’s a little boring. But it’s also how you achieve permanent weight loss results—no more regaining lost progress or starting from scratch again.

This kind of lasting success is available to anyone who wants it. If you’re ready to explore how this could work for you, just hit reply or click here to fill out an application and schedule a time to chat.

Most people won’t take that step. The ones who do are heavily rewarded.
