Can weight loss be easy? – 11/14/24

Yesterday, I came across a post claiming “Losing weight is the hardest thing ever, but it’s worth it.”

It made me want to jump on my soapbox because I believe LIFE is hard… but losing weight can actually be peaceful and enjoyable.

If you’re ONLY focused on weight loss, living and dying by the numbers on the scale…

Sure, that can feel miserable and difficult.

But we already know that approach doesn’t work long-term. So if you’re still doing that, you likely haven’t learned the lesson yet.

In fact, I teach my clients the opposite approach.

I show them how to stop obsessing over the scale and start investing in the process.

That way, they can build quality habits and routines that reduce stress and eliminate the chaos.

For example, I can travel during a weight loss phase without stepping on the scale and obsessing over the numbers because of the simple routines I’ve built.

I eat a high protein diet, train consistently, hit my step count daily, and prioritize my sleep. I’m taking care of myself and my health, all while feeling energized and fulfilled.

And the best part?

It feels automatic now.

Because these habits have become second nature—they don’t require mental energy anymore. They don’t stress me out; they actually fulfill me.

That’s the reward of focusing on the process instead of the outcome.

It doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s worth it. And that’s why I find it sad that so many people still treat weight loss like a miserable grind. They spend years spinning their wheels with strategies that don’t work.

Meanwhile, I’m over here with a clear solution that makes everything easier, more enjoyable, and gets results that last.
