A new study has shown that simple increasing overall movement and reducing sedentary behavior can drastically reduce overall back pain! If your experiencing back pain, try to get up every hour and go for a short stroll. Simply being more active and sitting less throughout the day can help reduce back pain! Check out the study here.

A new study has shown that the participants who ate a higher protein and higher fiber diet that focused on make sustainable dietary changes had the most successful and sustainable weight loss! The participants who were able to develop sustainable dietary changes within the first three months kept losing weight in the subsequent months, whereas those who had difficulty implementing sustainable dietary patterns early on rarely succeeded in changing their diet in the later months. This might surprise but you you really only need about 15 minutes a day! Doing 15 minutes a day of activity improved the participants fitness levels, sleep quality, mood, energy levels, and overall health! This study showed that participants who committed to the 15 minutes a day, ended up doing more over time. When I coach clients who aren’t currently exercising, I have them start small (usually 10-15 minutes a day). I’ve noticed that starting small often times cascades into more once they start to realize the positive impact it has on their life! Check out the study here.
