Thanks for reading! This week I’m touching on the gap vs gain mindset and how to avoid weight gain during the holidays…
I recently start an audiobook 10x Is Easier than 2x by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy and it has totally reframed my mind and thought process and I’m not even done with it yet 😂
I’m a type A individual and most type A individuals spend a lot of their time in the “gap” focusing on what went wrong, how they haven’t reached their goals yet, and what they need to do next instead of spending time in the “gain” where you look back on how far you’ve come and appreciate your progress.
I’m actively going to start every day outlining daily wins (which is something I even have my clients do!) so I can spend more time appreciating the hard work I’ve put in and how far I’ve come instead of being dissatisfied for not being at my goal yet 🙂
That’s something that’s supper applicable to fitness goals as well. Most people focus on the outcome and don’t spend enough time enjoy the process or appreciating how far they’ve come. You will enjoy the process much more if you take the time to celebrate the small wins instead of always focus on how you haven’t reached your goal yet.
TLDR: Start celebrating the small wins! You’ll enjoy your life and the process a whole lot more 🙂
