When I first started my weight loss journey, I assumed I’d be able to figure things out quickly.
I always considered myself resourceful and somewhat successful in other areas.
I was a D1 athlete and a software engineer.
My point is, most areas of my life felt solid.
So it was a pretty massive gut punch each time I failed at weight loss.
Why was this the ONE thing I couldn’t seem to get a grip on?
Eventually, after a long road of figuring things out for myself, I started working with clients.
One thing I almost immediately noticed…
Most of my clients were like me.
They had a lot of success in other areas of their lives…
Thriving businesses, great careers, great relationships.
The ONE thing they couldn’t seem to figure out was losing weight sustainably.
And it didn’t matter if it was 5 or 20 pounds. I’ve worked with clients who most would describe as successful…
But they themselves would identify this little problem area that just nagged the shit out of them that they were determined to fix.
I actually LOVE working with those types of clients.
They are usually driven, detail-oriented, ambitious, and willing to do the work.
In fact, they are already doing a lot of work.
They typically have a plan in place, a strong work ethic, and an established routine.
It’s often a matter of one or two minor tweaks that make all the difference in the world.
One or two lightbulb moments and then everything changes.
The puzzle is completed.
That last little bit of weight loss comes together. They see the results they’ve been yearning for, and the success they’ve experienced in other areas of their lives finally transfers over to their weight loss.
Most of my clients don’t need an overhaul they just need another set of eyes.
My wheelhouse is being that other set of eyes… and helping people fine-tune and optimize so they can finally feel complete.
They can stop stressing about whether they should change things up every few weeks. They can stop wondering what the right approach is for themselves. And they can simply follow a plan that works and helps them achieve sustainable fat loss.
Again, it’s not a 180. It’s being a little more intentional and specific about their approach and making sure they are progressing the way we want them to.
