There’s a weird little hack I use that has helped me stay on track and maintain my healthy lifestyle year-round.
I call it the Reset Meal.
Here’s how it works…
As someone who used to struggle with all-or-nothing thinking, I found it really tough to get back on track after a misstep.
I’d overindulge and then say, “screw it,” letting the spiral continue for days or even weeks.
Eventually, I’d feel so frustrated and disappointed in myself that I’d try to start all over again, only to repeat the cycle.
So, I came up with something I call the Reset Meal.
I wanted to train my brain to associate this one specific meal as the trigger to getting back on track—kind of like how your brain immediately processes a red light as “stop.”
After some experimenting, I found the perfect Reset Meal for me.
Here’s what it looks like:
2 whole eggs
200g of egg whites
200g of potatoes
A BIG handful of sautéed spinach
1 kirkland individual guacamole packet
And a side of 100g of raspberries
I’ve made this meal so many times that it requires zero thinking.
Plus, it’s packed with protein, fiber, and essential nutrients.
But the most valuable part of this meal is that my brain now recognizes it as the signal to get back on track.
It sets me up for success and helps prevent me from spiraling for too long.
The goal of a Reset Meal is that it should be easy to make, packed with protein and nutrient dense, and something you train your brain to recognize as your trigger for getting back on track or staying consistent.
Want an entire 30-page guide of easy-to-make Reset Meals that are nutrient dense and high in protein and take less than 15 minutes to make?
If so, just comment RESET, and I’ll send it over!
