Welcome back to Fit Habit Friday #13!! Don’t worry there won’t be anything spooky in this week’s newsletter 😄
Thanks for reading! This week I’ll be touching on the importance of sleep, an easy hack to help you when you’ve slept poorly, what I eat daily as a health and fitness coach, and more…
Y’all are probably wondering why I keep talking about sleep! Well sleep is the FOUNDATION of health! Sleep affect your cognitive function, cravings, mood, motivation, overall energy levels, and more…
This past weekend, I went to a bachelorette party and it was a blast, but I definitely didn’t sleep enough 😂
I slept maybe 5 hours a night and boy did I feel the impact! There was NO WAY I could have gotten any work done! I was exhausted, had no motivation, and definitely wasn’t as sharp as I usually am, but thankfully I was on vacation so it didn’t matter 😄
I don’t know how I used to function in college when I regularly slept 5 hours a night…
TLDR: If you aren’t sleeping 7-9 hours a night, start!
When I sleep poorly, I will take a double dose of creatine (10g) and definitely notice a huge impact!
TLDR: Poor night of sleep? Take 10g of creatine upon waking.
POPCORN! I LOVE popcorn! There are some wackos on Social Media that will fear monger you about corn and popcorn and say its bad for you. I wouldn’t recommend eating movie theater popcorn or bagged popcorn on the regular basis, but almost every night I make homemade popcorn for my husband and I!
Popcorn is super high in fiber, tastes delicious, and is one of my favorite foods! Popcorn is not a traditional “health” food, but because I love it I try to incorporate it on a regular basis 😊
I used to think popcorn was bad for me and whenever I’d eat it I’d beat myself up or overdo it or BOTH!
That’s one of the many reasons no foods are off limits for my clients!
A healthy diet SHOULD include the foods you love on a regular basis because that’s what makes it SUSTAINABLE which is KEY for long lasting results!
Through experimentation, avocado oil, these kernel, and this popcorn maker make the BEST popcorn I’ve ever had! (I don’t make any money off of these links they are just the best products on the market :))
TLDR: Popcorn is amazing 🤩 and can be incorporated regularly in a healthy diet!
