Welcome back to Fit Habit Friday #4! This week I thought it was topical to talk about how fitness provides you with more freedoms!
People often only think of the aesthetic and physical benefits that are associated with fitness and lose sight of the myriad of other benefits that fitness provides. Keep reading to learn about the other freedoms fitness provides.
The more active you are -> the less money you’ll need to spend on healthcare, hospital bills, and medication = more money in your pocket! Yes it can be expensive to pay for a monthly gym membership, a fitness trainer, or a nutrition coach, but spending a couple hundred dollars a month for a couple months to improve your fitness will be a hell of a lot cheaper than medical bills and medications you’ll inevitably have to take if you don’t.
TLDR: Prioritizing your health will keep you out of the hospital & off medication = save you A LOT of money!
Staying active has been shown to drastically reduce your risk of chronic diseases. Exercising regularly will reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases and therefor reduce your risk of needing medication.
TDLR: Exercise is medicine!
Exercise improves cognitive function, longevity, and health-span! Being fit allows you to actually LIVE your life! Your probability of developing chronic diseases, illness, and injuries is a hell of a lot less which means you will be less restricted in what you can or can’t do.
TLDR: Fitness enables you to LIVE your life!
Resistance train (2-4x a week) -> builds resilience, strengthens your bones, reduces your risk of metabolic syndrome and overall disease, and helps improves your hormone profile!
Eat a nutrient dense, calorically balanced diet -> provides your body will the resources it needs to build muscle and keep body fat percentage in a healthy range helping you stay strong and reduce your risk of disease!
Walk 8K+ steps a day -> improves insulin sensitivity (reducing your risk of diabetes), aids in digestion, reduces stress, and strengthens your immune system!
TLDR: Lift weights, eat whole foods, and walk to be free 💪🏻🇺🇸
